Ontario California is located East of Los Angeles. Expect weather to hit lows of 62 during the night and high of 80s during peak averaging 75. Ontario is considered to be a safe area to walk around and the area of the Ontario Convention Center is clean, pretty, and well lit at night.
The Ontario Convention Center is located at 2000 E Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA 91764. The Convention Center is located blocks away from the Ontario International Airport (ONT) and is about an hour drive from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Ontario Convention Center is located near the 10, 15, and 60 freeways, making it easy to access from all directions.
Getting to AFC By Air
We recommend you fly into Ontario International Airport (ONT) and take the shuttle from the ONT airport to your nearby hotel or a rideshare app / taxi to the Ontario Convention Center. There is not a suitable walking path from the airport to the convention center area, but it's only a five minute drive away.
Other (farther) airports include: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne Airport (SNA), Burbank Airport (BUR). Note: rideshare apps Lyft/Uber fares one way range between $80-$200 on average for these farther airports. It might be worth paying a little extra to fly in to ONT instead of LAX if you don't have a vehicle.
Getting to AFC By Car
- From Los Angeles: Commuters can either take the 10 or the 60 freeway East.
- From Orange County: Take the 57 freeway north to 10 freeway East.
- From San Diego: Take the 15 freeway North to the 10 freeway West.
- From Las Vegas: Take the 15 freeway South to the 10 freeway West.
Getting to AFC By Public Transit
The Ontario Convention Center is accessible by public transit. The Omnitrans Line 61 bus stops at the Holt @ Lemon Wb stop, which is a 0.4 mile walk from the convention center, and also stops at the Ontario International Airport. The Line 61 bus runs every 30 minutes on weekdays and every hour on weekends. The bus fare is $1.75 for a single ride or $5 for a day pass. The bus is ADA accessible and has bike racks.
Omnitrans services most of the Inland Empire area, including Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, and San Bernardino. You can also transfer from the Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) to Omnitrans.
