Volunteer at Another Furry Con 2025

One of the key factors that makes Another Furry Con so special is the unwavering dedication of our volunteer team. As an entirely volunteer-run convention, we rely on their passion and hard work to create a magical experience for attendees from all over the world. By volunteering, you will not only help ensure the convention's success but also enjoy exclusive perks as a token of our gratitude. We would love for you to be part of the team that brings this event to life!

How Can I Get Involved?

We have two categories of volunteers to pick from, depending on how much time you want to dedicate to helping out before/during the convention: Gofurs and Staff.

• Gofurs
  • Gofurs are extra hands that can help out anywhere we need extra staffing and have no minimum time commitment.
  • To sign up as a Gofur – simply show up to ConOps (Room 101) during the convention and offer to help for as short or long a time as you want.
• Staff
  • Staff are volunteers dedicated to a department role and generally have a set work schedule during the convention.
  • Staff are expected to work a minimum of 8 hours total.

Requirements

• Age: You must be 18 years or older to join the volunteer team.
• Hours: All volunteer hours must be signed off by your Department Lead and turned in for volunteer benefits to be awarded.
• Shifts:
  • Staff: Volunteers commit to scheduled shifts in a dedicated department.
  • Gofur: Volunteers work flexibly – show up to ConOps to sign up for any open shifts needing coverage, or drop in on the spot.
• Conduct: All volunteers are expected to follow convention and venue policies at all times, including while off duty. Communicate with your lead if you need to change availability. Failure to do so or unexplained absences may restrict future volunteering and revocation of staff rewards given.

Rewards (Based on Hours Worked)

Rewards are based on submitted hours signed off by Lead(s) and stack as you reach each threshold.

• 8 Hours – Comped Attendee Badge for the current convention year
• 12 Hours – Free AFC T-Shirt for the current convention year
• 16 Hours – ½-Price Attendee Badge and Staff-Priority Hotel Booking for the following year
• 20 Hours – Full Badge for the following convention year
